Priyanka Chopra Jonas to speak on gender equality at a virtual summit with Michelle Obama, Meghan Markle and others

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a bona fide global star who has conquering cinema one day at a time. While she has made a mark for herself as a phenomenal actress in Bollywood and Hollywood, Priyanka has been supporting initiatives towards gender equality and empowering young girls. The global star, who is a major source of inspiration to millions, has been invited as one of the key speakers at the virtual, Girl Up Leadership Summit. The summit will be held between July 13-15. Priyanka, on Twitter, shared the announcement and left her fans excited. 

"No matter their background, girls have the power to transform themselves, their communities, and the world around them. For the summit on gender equality, Priyanka will be joined by former First Lady Michelle Obama and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. Meghan and Priyanka are known to be good friends and the latter attended the former's Royal wedding too. Apart from them, 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and actor Jameela Jamil will be joining the summit. 

Workwise, Priyanka made headlines for signing a multimillion-dollar first-look television deal with Amazon. She will be seen with Keanu Reeves in 'The Matrix 4' as well as Anthony's and Joe Russo’s spy series Citadel with Richard Madden, Netflix's superhero film titled We Can Be Heroes directed by Robert Rodriguez and The White Tiger with Rajkummar Rao.
