The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been working on their plans for a new non-profit organization for a while. While Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry announced the idea earlier this year, we've been waiting for the big reveal to happen!
After filing a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the duo released a statement revealing the name of the NPO and it has a sweet connection with their son, Archie.

The name 'Archewell' draws a close connection to their son's name, while also symbolizing to 'arche’, the Greek word meaning ‘source of action'. If it all goes according to their said plan, Harry and Meghan plan to share actual details of their future endeavors later this year, closer to the summer. Exciting, isn't it?
The statement read, "Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be,...To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon."
Well, isn't this simply adorable? What are your thoughts?
