Its official, Meghan Markle will narrate Disney+’s new movie Elephant which will debut on Disney Plus on April 3, the studio announced today. Earlier this year, news broke out that Meghan has partnered with Disney on an unspecified project after she and her husband Prince Harry were pictured speaking to Bob Iger, Disney chief. Reportedly, Prince Harry suggested his wife would be keen to be involved in a Disney project at the Lion King premiere last year while the couple was still royals.
The Disneynature channel made the announcement on their social media and credited Meghan Markle as Duchess of Sussex, probably the last time she will be using her royal title. It is reported that Meghan lent her voice to the film in return for a donation to wildlife charity Elephants Without Borders, that work towards protecting elephants, which reside in Botswana.
The new Disney film will follow a family of elephants and their journey across the Kalahari Desert in Africa. The show will stream on Disney+ from April 3, three days after she and Harry will quit as senior royals officially on March 31.
