Priyanka Chopra Jonas to frontline 'Avengers' fame Russo Brothers' Amazon series 'Citadel' with Richard Madden

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has undoubtedly conquered not just Bollywood but Hollywood too. The global star who is leaving behind an unerasable mark across the major cinema industries is rightfully on the top of every filmmakers' list. As she is on a project signing spree, the 37-year-old star has taken a step ahead and gave a positive nod to frontline Russo Brothers' Amazon series Citadel with Richard Madden. Avengers fame Anthony's and Joe Russo’s global thriller multi-series will be for Amazon Studios and was announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Tuesday.

As per reports, Amazon announced that a local language production of the franchise will originate from Mexico, in addition to the previously declared versions in Italy and India. Priyanka and Richard are said to star in the U.S. “mothership” edition of Citadel which was greenlit in July 2018. While major details regarding the project are kept under tight wraps, it is being stated that Citadel will be an action-packed spy thriller with a powerful emotional core.

Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, the company which is co-producing the thriller, will serve as writers and executive producers. Moran, Mike Larocca, and Joe and Anthony Russo will act as its executive producers. The Italian series will be bankrolled by Amazon Studios and Cattleya while the Indian one will be financed by Raj & DK.

Speaking of Priyanka, she was recently seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink. She will feature in Netflix films namely We Can Be Heroes by Robert Rodriguez and The White Tiger co-starring Rajkummar Rao. On the other hand, Richard was seen in the acclaimed film titled 1917. He is currently working on Chloe Zaho’s The Eternals wherein he will play Ikaris opposite Angelina Jolie.
