The trailer of the much-awaited Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick is out and it promises a thrilling ride with Hollywood’s biggest star. A sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun, the film offers a lot of nostalgia and no one can deny this. After almost 33 years since Top Gun released, it is so good to see that thankfully not much has changed. The cool shades, the iconic jacket and Tom Cruise’s character Peter Maverick, who is still a captain, just so you know.
The trailer showcases Tom Cruise danger-seeking avatar as Peter Maverick. Though, his attitude also hasn't changed much. He's content with his life as captain -- even if, as his superior points out, he should be an admiral by now -- and living on the edge. And when reminded that the end is inevitable and his kind is headed for extinction, he shuts the trailer saying "Maybe so, Sir but not today".
Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films Present Top Gun: Maverick. Starring Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, and Lewis Pullman, the film is all set to release in Summer 2020.
