The Lion King: Beyoncé slays in new music video 'Spirit' but it is her daughter Blue Ivy who steals the limelight

On Tuesday night, Beyoncé dropped the video to her new song Spirit from the upcoming Lion King remake’s soundtrack. The 37-year-old singer is seen sitting by herself in the middle of the desert, the camera suddenly flashes to her daughter Blue Ivy, 7, who is wearing a nearly identical pink dress to her mom’s.

Though the scenery and animation were enough to keep viewers entertained, perhaps the most memorable part was in the beginning when Beyoncé was joined by her daughter and mini-me, Blue Ivy. Within two hours of the “Spirit” video being posted on YouTube, it had been viewed more than 468,000 times and that's a strong record.
