The survivors of the Battle of Winterfell bid the final farewell to the fallen heroes and burned them on the pyre.

Later, in the dinner hall, Gendry asks around for Arya and goes to find her, not before he got summoned from Danaerys. She then makes him the Lord of Storm Lands and congratulates him on the same. Meanwhile, Ser Davos and Tyrion talk about what’s to come.

Tyrion sees Bran and summons him as the Lord of Winterfell. Bran refuses and says that he isn’t the Lord. Tyrion asks him if he doesn’t want it, to which Bran agrees. Tyrion then tells him how he envies him, to which Bran states that the former shouldn’t feel that way because he always stays in the past.

Everyone is celebrating. Brienne, Poddrick, Tyrion and Jaime indulge in a drinking game, while Tormund jokes about how nothing can kill Jon Snow. Zoned out from all the cheer, Danaerys seems disturbed; Varys notices this.

During the game, Brienne gets ticked off when asked about her virginity. Tormund approaches her but she abruptly leaves. Tormund talks about this to the Hound but is pleased later when approached by some beautiful girls. One of them tries to seduce the Hound too, but he shoos her away. Sansa sees this and approaches him. They talk about the past when he states how she has changed; to this, she agrees.

Gendry finds Arya practising the bow when he tells her the big news. He also confesses how he loves her and wants to marry her. He tells her she can become the Lady of Storm Lands to which, Arya refuses and politely declines the offer by saying, ‘I’m no Lady, never was. It’s not who I am.’ What a legend!

Jaime seeks Brienne in her room and they continue the drinking game. He asks her about Tormund when she states that he seems jealous. Caught in the moment, they kiss and make love to each other.

Danaerys talks to Jon about losing Jorah, states how he had loved but she only had eyes for Jon. They kiss when the thought of Jon’s truth disrupts the moment between the two. Danaerys asks Jon to keep it a secret, but he says he owes it to Sansa and Arya to know the truth. She pleads him to listen to her to which he assures her by saying, ‘You’re my Queen, they’re my family…we can live together,’ Can we really, though?

At a council meeting, everyone plans a strategy on how to surround and defeat Cersei. Sansa states how the soldiers need rest to recover. Danaerys states how they need to act fast; to this, Jon assures her that they will be up and ready to leave at the earliest.

After the meeting, Arya, Sansa, Jon and Bran have a word. They talk about how he is the last of the Starks and that his loyalty should lie in the interest of his family first. He tells them that he is not a Stark and swears them to secrecy before asking Bran to reveal his true identity.

Jaime and Tyrion have a light chat when Bronn sneaks on them with the crossbow. He tells them how he was sent to kill one of the brothers. He also states that he knows Cersei isn’t on the winning side, which means she won’t be able to give him Riverrun, as she promised. Tyrion tells him he can have High Garden after the war is over. To this, he leaves them be and promises to find them after the war is over.

Meanwhile, Arya and the Hound get on the road. On their way, they talk about the Night King and how neither of them wants to return to this mess again.

Danaerys meets her dragons who are still healing from the war. Sansa and Tyrion watch this and talk about Jon and his allegiance to the Mother of Dragons. Tyrion asks her about the unnecessary provoking and hatred when she can keep it civil and clean. Sansa admits she is worried about Jon going away. Tyrion tries to convince Sansa, says he has immense belief in Danaerys. To this, Sansa asks him, ‘What if there’s someone better than her? ‘ Okayy...what?

Before leaving for King’s Landing, Jon bids farewell to Tormund, who tells him he’ll be returning to Castle Black with the Wildlings. Jon asks him to take Ghost along. Jon also sees Sam and Gilly, who inform him that they are expecting another child. After bidding hi goodbyes, Jon leaves Winterfell with Ser Davos and the army via road while Danaerys, her dragons and her fleet get ahead on their ships.

On the ship, Greyworm and Missandei share a moment while Tyrion and Varys talk about Jon’s truth and what will become of it when more people learn about it.

Danaerys rides Drogon while Rheagal flies alongside when suddenly, they are attacked by Euron Greyjoy and his army on ships. Rhaegal gets murdered while Drogon dodges the attacks. Switching tactics, Euron attacks their ships instead, causing everyone to escape by swimming to the shore.

Enjoying the taste of victory, Euron informs Cersei of the little stint, how Danaerys’ dragons are real and how he killed one of them. Pleased by this, Cersei sweet talks him into believing her intentions, while the closing shot reveals a captive, none other than Missandei herself!

Danaerys, Tyrion, Varys and Greyworm talk about attacking Cersei. Varys tells them it’s a mistake, but enraged by the whole ordeal, Danaerys refuses to budge. Tyrion suggests they should try negotiating first, in order to avoid the war. But Danaerys refuses that request as well, too stuck up on avenging the death of her Dragon and Missandei’s abduction.

Varys and Tyrion argue about Danaerys, her destiny and the right thing to do. Even after a lot of pressing, Varys doesn’t budge on his opinions of Jon being more worthy of the throne and states that his interests and loyalty will always lie with the realm and not the ruler. Were you as confused as we were? What is he gonna do? So many questions!

Winterfell receives the news of the attack. Shook by it, Jaime decides to do his bit and join them. Brienne pleads him to not go and tells him that he’s a good person. He states all the reasons why he isn’t and leaves Winterfell, leaving Brienne in a puddle of tears behind him. Nooooo, we ship them…come back, Jaime!

With the limited men that survived the attack, Danaerys decides to confront Cersei. Qyburn, the hand of the Queen, arrives to make a negotiation with Tyrion. Tyrion tries to talk sense into him while Qyburn diplomatically dodges everything. Seeing no way out of this, Tyrion ignores him and heads straight to talk to Cersei; tells her how he knows she doesn’t care for the people, but she does care about her children. He tries to talk sense into her, but to no avail.

Cersei asks Missandei if she has any last words before the Mountain decapitates her. Furious yet again, Danaerys storms off while Cersei looks pleased by the reaction she received from her enemy.
