I had no motivation to do anything: Game of Thrones Star Sophie Turner on struggling with depression

Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame finally revealed the impact fame has had on her mental health to the point where she considered committing suicide. In a recent interview with Dr Philon on a podcast titled Phil in the Blanks, the young actress admitted that she has suffered from depression for more than five years now.

Turner said, "I had no motivation to do anything or go out. Even with my best friends, I wouldn't want to see them, I wouldn't want to go out and eat with them. I just would cry and cry and cry over just getting changed and putting on clothes and be like, 'I can't do this. I can't go outside. I have nothing that I want to do,"

Talking about her struggles she continued, "I would say, 'Yeah, I am spotty. I am fat. I am a bad actress.' I would just believe it. I would get (the costume department) to tighten my corset a lot. I just got very, very self-conscious,". The biggest challenge the actress faced was the lack of motivation to get out of the bed and the house.

The Game of Thrones star is currently on medication and attends therapy and admitted that she feels much better now. "I'm on medication and I love myself now, or more than I used to, I think," she shared. Sophie can be currently seen in the eighth season of the HBO hit Game of Thrones. She has planned to take a break from acting after the end of the last season. She is engaged to Joe Jonas, who has also made a comeback with his band Jonas Brothers with Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
