Prince Harry, wife Meghan Markle expecting their first baby in Spring 2019

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are expecting their first baby in the spring of 2019, as confirmed by Kensington Palace on Monday. The news came hours after the couple landed in Sydney as they kicked off their first international tour together, lasting more than a fortnight with stops in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

"The Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the spring of 2019," the palace said in an official statement. Further appreciating the support the couple has received from everyone since their wedding, the statement mentioned that the Royal Highnesses were delighted to share the happy news with the public.

Not to forget that Meghan will yet again break conventional royal traditions by travelling abroad during her pregnancy, which has otherwise been frowned upon in the past.

The couple culminated their relationship into marriage in presence of Queen Elizabeth II, the royal family and 600 guests on May 19 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, England. Post the royal wedding, the Queen hosted a lunchtime reception to celebrate her grandson's wedding with the former actress.
Prince Harry's and his wife Meghan's first-born will be seventh-in-line to the British throne.
