Smooth-talking smuggler Lando Calrissian aka Billy Dee William returns in Star Wars: Episode IX

It's time to scream in joy! Pick up your best cape and suit as we make way for the smooth talker and the most hilarious smuggler in the entire galaxy - Lando Calrissian. Lando, played by veteran actor Billy Dee William, will return to the galaxy in the next (and probably the final) installment of the Star Wars franchise.

Lando was first introduced to us in the second film in 1980 with Star Wars: Episode V: Empire Strikes Back. He plays an important role in the film and owns some of the most interesting and varied weapons in the entire galaxy including the iconic Millennium Falcon (which he later loses to Han Solo in a bet) and the Blaster Pistol.

Billy was last seen playing Lando in the third film, Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, in 1983. However, the last time that Lando was seen on screen was earlier this year in the stand-alone film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, played by Donald Glover. Solo's reviews and box office collections were a clear answer that Han Solo and Lando Calrissian are the best when Harrison Ford and Billy take charge of them respectively.

Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi was a treat for all the Star Wars fans spanning over the last four decades and three generations. One of the main reasons behind The Last Jedi's success was that it brought the best characters from all its trilogies together in one place - including Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Rey, Kylo Ben and Jedi Master Yoda.

The production of this film is said to start later this summer. After an eventful Episode 8, we wonder what is coming up in Episode 9.
