Zayn Malik on Gigi Hadid: We're still really good friends... No bad blood

March 13, 2018 became a day of mourning for fans of 'Zigi' - as singer Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid officially announced their breakup in individually shared statements on social media. Two months following their public separation, the millennial exes were seen sealing their apparent patch-up with a passionate kiss in NYC. There has been no official confirmation as of yet of them getting back, but this was certainly not the first time they had called it quits. Thus, there were speculations that the entire relationship was a publicity gimmick by their respective management.

Addressing these rumours and reports, Zayn, in a recent interview with a leading magazine, came out clean and quashed all these assumptions. "If a relationship is for your career, you can f*****g walk out the door. No way. See you later," said the former member of British boy band One Direction.

Besides, he asserts that he is still good friends with Gigi and they still hang out together. "We go to the farm. We have horses," he said. He also shared about the time he rode a horse with Victoria's secret model saying, "I looked like a complete idiot and she looked like a complete professional.… We're still really good friends, and we're still in contact," he told the magazine adding, "No bad blood."

They may have parted their ways as lovers, but the Let Me singer is only grateful to Gigi for the positive influence she has had on him during their courtship. "I had a very negative outlook on things. That might have been adolescence or testosterone or whatever the f**k was running through my body at the time," he revealed, further stating, "She's helped me to look at things from a positive angle."

Moreover, Zayn and Gigi don't feel the need for a label. "We're adults. We don't need to put a label on it, make it something for people's expectations," the 25-year-old claimed.

Zigi had become one of the most sought-after celebrity couples after appearing together in Malik’s romantic Pillowtalk music video in January 2016. They had gone public with their relationship in May the same year, at the Met Gala.
