Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make first royal appearance since wedding at Prince Charles' Patronage celebration

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended their first royal engagement as a married couple, at a Buckingham Palace garden party. The celebrations were held in the honour of the Duke’s father The Prince of Wales’ Patronage celebration at Buckingham Palace to mark his 70th Birthday. The garden party is being held six months ahead of Prince Charles’s actual 70th birthday which falls on November 14, 2018, and was held to celebrate the future king’s charity and military affiliations. Prince Harry’s speech at the event drew major giggles from Meghan and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as a bee kept hovering around his ear.

Prince Harry and Meghan were present at the party with Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. They were joined by more than 6,000 people from the different charities that they support. The terrorist attack at Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that happened a year back was remembered by Prince Harry in his speech before he paid tribute to his father’s “infectious” energy and enthusiasm that has inspired his brother Prince William and himself to do better. He said, “It has certainly inspired William and I to get involved in issues we care passionately about and to do whatever we can to make a difference.”

Prince Harry’s speech was inspiring at the same time a tad funny as Meghan and Camilla had a bad fit of giggles when a bee flew close to Prince Harry’s ear and he said, “That bee really got me". His remark made everyone gathered around broke into a guffaw and Prince Charles leaned over to Meghan and Camilla to ask what the fuss was all about. Meghan was captured in a video explaining how the bee got the better of her husband.
