Edward Fuller, general manager at Madame Tussauds London said, “Excitement ahead of the royal wedding is reaching fever pitch and we have been inundated with questions about when people can finally meet 'Their Royal Likenesses'. There is a lot of love out there for Meghan and Harry and we're following their lead by inviting the great British public to join the couple in their wedding celebrations here at Madame Tussauds London.”
Amidst all this hoopla, a statement from Madame Tussauds has come regarding the wax figures of the engaged couple. The statement read, “With royal wedding fever extending across the Atlantic, Madame Tussauds London's sister attraction in New York will also reveal its own Meghan figure... Marking the first time a US citizen will join the British Royal Family in 80 years.”
The engaged couple’s wax statue will also be exhibited in London and will be placed in front of a 15-foot-wide video wall so that the guests can click pictures posing with them. There are a variety of backdrops and props that can help you capture a moment with the Royals right from their cake cutting ceremony after the wedding to relaxing on a private beach. This is not the only attraction; the museum is holding a special “stag and hen do” (a bachelor and bachelorette party) where the visitors can take their photographs with Harry and Meghan’s wax figures on the eve of their wedding that is May 18, 2018.
Meghan’s wax figure is seen wearing an emerald green PAROSH dress that she wore for the announcement last year along with the replica of her engagement ring designed by Prince Harry. Meghan’s wax figure is placed next to redesigned statue of Prince Harry. Harry’s figure was unveiled in 2014 when he became 30 years old and has now been updated for his impending wedding.
Speculations were rife whether Priyanka Chopra who is friends with Markle will be attending the wedding or not. However, she has laid all rumours to rest by confirming that she will definitely be there for her big day.
