John Cena-Nikki Bella break-up: End of super successful professional partnership

The break-up bug refuses to pack up and leave… After six years together, WWE faves John Cena and Nikki Bella have pulled the plug on their relationship. The split comes a year after Cena, 40, proposed to Bella, 34, at Wrestlemania 33. The two were last spotted in public together at Wrestlemania 34 on Sunday, April 8.

In a statement issued, the pair wrote, “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”

“Relationships are hard. Don’t ever think that love is easy. Love is beautiful, but we’ve had to come to the realization after being together for five years that love is not easy,” Cena had said in an interview last year. “We work every day on us. We have our problems just like everybody else. Some of our problems are very public, some of them aren’t. But we work every day on us. Anytime I get upset, I always just realize that I can’t live without her and I love her and that’s why I cave in on a lot of stuff.”

The pair was touted to be WWE's next premier power couple. Their business empire included hit reality shows ‘Total Divas’, ‘Total Bellas’ and the Bella's YouTube channel. Marriage was considered the next step till they surprised fans with their sudden break-up.
WWE had hailed the success of ‘Total Bellas’ in its third quarter 2017 earnings report with increasing television revenues by 15% to $64.7 million compared to $56.3 million in the previous quarter.

The Bella's YouTube channel has over 1.3 million subscribers with 339,177 views per video. Cena's Auto Geek series has an average of 579,808 viewers in 27 episodes. The third season of ‘Total Bellas’ will air on May 20 and given the recent split, it could well become its highest-viewed season.
