Oscars 2018: Shape Of Water wins the Best Picture Award

After assuming that the cinematic beauty La La Land will take home the Oscar to actually seeing a hard-hitting coming of age story - Moonlight winning the night, it still is an unforgettable moment from last year.

This year, with what seems like a unanimous choice was will take home the Best Motion Picture of the year trophy. And as one would have wanted and expected, the award went to none other than The Shape of Water.

The movie was perfectly summed up as someone put it, “on paper it's preposterous but on screen, it’s a poetry”. And could we agree more!

The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro and has been brought to life with Sally Hawkins playing a mute janitor Elisa who also has a nomination for the Best Actress.

Guillermo del Toro’s dreamy parable about tolerance, cruelty, and human -piscine sex, The Shape of Water lead with 13 nods this year at the Academy Awards including Best Director, and he took the trophy home for the same.

Congratulations...
