Anything I do or wear, I’m going to get trolled anyway: Ananya Panday on defending her fashion choices

In spite of being just three films old in showbiz, actress Ananya Panday is quite a known name in the film and fashion fraternity. However, the actress has often been on the receiving end of the trolls for her fashion choices but seems like she isn’t letting the negativity get in her way.

On Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want, Ananya opened up about facing online bullying for her fashion choices lately. She said earlier she used to dress in a way that made everyone happy but lately, she has been dressing for herself. "When I initially started, I was dressing in a way that probably made everyone happy. But now I think the way that I dress makes me happy. As I said in the start, as long as I am happy and comfortable, it is all that matters,” the actress said. She also revealed that she doesn’t pay heed to trolls anymore and her happiness and comfort are the first priority. “When it comes to trolling, now I am just like, anything I do or wear, I am going to get trolled anyway. So it's fine, as long as I am happy and comfortable."

Panday has been called out by Instagram’s anonymous fashion vigilante Diet Sabya on many occasions for her fashion choices. Speaking of that, Ananya said she doesn’t obsess over these things anymore as long as she gets to put good pictures on her gram feed. “I have made it to Diet Sabya and I have been questioned on what I am wearing but that is something that I don't actually obsess over or anything. As long as I am happy and I get good pictures to put on my Instagram, I am fine," she concluded.

To fight trolls and cyberbullies, Ananya has also launched an online campaign ‘So Positive,’ a Digital Social Responsibility campaign against social media bullying. On the work front, the stunner is gearing up for Shakun Batra’s untitled next and a Pan-India film Fighter with south sensation Vijay Deverakonda.
