Karisma Kapoor has managed to stay a style icon over the ages. While everyone went through the dramatic style arc, Karisma always knew what she was doing and presented us with plethora of looks, on and off the screen.

On the contrary to the 90s, Lolo’s extravagant style has become more refined and sophisticated now, due credits to her stylist Eshaa Amiin. In an interview with a leading daily, Eshaa opened up on styling the diva herself.

Talking about her first encounter with Lolo, Amiin said she styled her for a day event 8 years ago and the duo has come a long way. “I styled Karisma Kapoor first time for her book launch in 2012. I dressed her up in a simple white blouse paired with denims, a look she carried off with her classy, Beverly Hills mom vibe. It’s been eight years since and we’ve never repeated ourselves.”

Speaking about her outfit preferences, Esha revealed that the Kapoor fashionista isn’t a fan of Plain Jane dressing, hates high-low hems and digs monochromes. “Lolo doesn’t want anything which is average, even if it looks good. She loves black and white but as a stylist I’ve managed to introduce colours gradually. High-low hemlines are a complete no-no and no matter how much I try, she won’t budge.” When asked about the best thing about her muse, she said Karisma has a sound knowledge about fabrics and silhouettes and can easily tell if the outfit will work or not. “I get to learn a lot from her,” she said.

Spilling the beans about her overall style statement, Esha mentioned that Lolo is not too fussy about brands but considers the quality of fabrics. The diva is very particular about reflecting her age as well as the culture in her style statement. “Since she endorses a range of products and play more mature roles now, she wants her style to reflect that despite having the body to even carry a crop top. For events, she is very particular that she dresses culture appropriate, so I will dress her differently for an event in Kolkata than one in Mumbai,” Esha concluded.
