Grab your popcorn fashionistas, the sartorially studded Lakme Fashion Week returns for this year with a digital twist! Of many things that this new-normal had to offer, LFW has decided to present its digital and season-fluid edition for the year.
Replacing front row seats with streaming platforms, LFW has announced to present its virtual fashion soiree from October 21 to October 25, 2020.
The event will be conducted on a high-tech platform created especially for the fashion week that aims to host state of the art curated shows with top technology and engaging content.
“With the first-ever digital edition, Lakme Fashion Week will be reinvented to continue to enable the business of fashion, create new experiences for audiences and put the spotlight back on the future of fashion,” Ashwath Swaminathan, Head of Innovations at Lakme said in a statement.
“We hope to create this space for the industry to thrive and flourish. With a digital platform, we will bridge gaps between national and international audiences and buyers while continuing to support and nurture the design community,” Jaspreet Chandok, head of Head – Lifestyle Businesses at IMG Reliance stated.
