We have the newest addition to the existing list of fashion giant collabs already in the market- the Nike Jordans X Dior sneaker!
Giving us a sneak-peek of their Air Dior shoe, the Dior Men's artistic director, Kim Jones, revealed the first formal photo on his Instagram.
The sneaker made its runway debut at Dior's Homme pre-fall 2020 runway show in Miami. The sneaker looked one of its kind, standing stark against Dior's current collection of layered prints and their classic monogram.
'Celebrating our first show in the US, I am proud to announce the #airdior AJ1. I year in the making, it is made in Italy with Italian leather, hand-painted edges, original Dior Oblique jacquard swoosh and transparent soles with the Air Dior Wings and Dior logos', read the caption. Exciting, innit?
I chose to collaborate with Jordan Brand because Christian Dior collaborated with the best American brands of his era. I love mixing together different worlds, different ideas — Dior and Jordan Brand are both emblematic of absolute excellence in their fields. To bring them together in this special collaboration is to propose something exciting and truly new", Jones told a leading website in a statement.
The sneakers are set to launch in April 2020. What are your thoughts?
