Gossip Girl reboot in the works? ‘A discussion’ is happening, apparently

In case you are a fan of the American teen drama series Gossip Girl, we have news for you considering that you might get to watch a reboot of the show soon. Wait, you might, we said. Mark Pedowitz, CW President, told the press at the CW's portion of the TV Critics' Association press tour last week that "a discussion" on the reboot is happening, E! Online reports.

"But I don't know if we're there yet. I don't know what it would be," Pedowitz said, adding that it depends on the involvement of screenwriters Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. “Cause you don't want to do anything without them," Pedowitz added.

Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of teens residing in Manhattan's posh Upper East Side. The show premiered in 2007 and went off air in 2012.

Although at the ATX TV Festival held in 2016, the screenwriter of the show Josh Schwartz said they hadn’t really given the reboot a thought. “We haven't really explored some of those conversations. Maybe, I don't know. We haven't really thought about it,Josh told E! News earlier

Gossip Girl starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester Kelly Rutherford, Penn Badgley in the lead roles.
