Birthday special: Here's why the super-talented Irrfan intended to quit acting in 1998

There's no denying that Bollywood actor Irrfan is one of the finest actors of the Indian film industry and is known to portray all his characters with great finesse. Just his mere presence can light up the screen and films always manage to strike a chord among the audience. Now as the actor celebrates his 52nd birthday today, his fans and followers from across the globe have started to pour in wishes for him. But on the special day, let us tell you a lesser known fact about him, which will leave you spell-bound. As per a report in an entertainment website, the super-talented star wanted to quit acting around 1998, which is almost 2 decades ago. As we all know that Irrfan worked in a lot of television shows between the period of 1994 and 1998. But the monotonous work apparently bored the actor and he intended to quit acting once and for all. However, destiny had different plans and his Bollywood career finally took off. Meanwhile, Irrfan left everyone in a state of shock after he announced in March last year that he’s suffering from a neuroendocrine tumour. Ever since then, he has been undergoing treatment in the United Kingdom although there have reports that Irrfan will start filming the Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic soon.
