Turning back to pre-pandemic times in the most exquisite way, Dolce & Gabbana unveils its Alta Moda collection with a spectacular show

Seems like everything is getting back on track in the fashion world as Italian luxury house Dolce & Gabanna unveiled its Alta Moda collection with the most spectacular show since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Titled Rebirth, the collection was unveiled in the monumental garden of Villa Bardini, Florence which is known for its cultural history. Featuring Renaissance fashion at its best, D&G's latest collection was an uplifting ode to the Florence city, who revived back to life after battling the deadly pandemic, which nearly crushed the fashion industry

Reminding us the magic of haute couture in a traditional setting, this fashion show unveiled the classy timeless pieces and vintage clothing. Taking inspiration from the sixteenth century and Italian Renaissance, the designers presented us with 89 breathtakingly beautiful runway looks.

The collection displayed the best of satins, chiffons, brocades, organza and lace and mesh haute couture that were high on cultural values.

@villabardini, with its monumental garden and its panorama of Florence, hosted the Alta Moda fashion show. The swimsuit and jacket and skirt looks are entirely crocheted with raffia. The tulle dress is crocheted with a mix of materials, including raffia, applique wood and crystals. The silk tulle dress features raffia embroidery, while the tulle corset dress is embroidered with applique brocade, Lurex chiffon and Lurex macrame. Received in concession following the inheritance of antiquarian Stefano Bardini, @fondazionecrfirenze restored the marvellous space filled with statues and artistic and architectonic artifacts, rich with history and beauty.
