Gold Awards 2018: Divyanka, Debina, Nia, Arshi and Shraddha fail to impress at the red carpet
The celebrated annual event in the television industry, Gold Awards, took place on Tuesday night in the city. The star-studded night saw the who's who of the telly world gather together under one roof and we must say, the stars amped up the style quotient and how.
Spotted at the red carpet last night were – Hina Khan, Jasbir Kaur, Jigyasa Singh, Kamya Punjabi, Karishma Tanna, Krystal D’souza, Mohena Singh, Mona lisa, Monica Khanna, Mouni Roy, Rakhi Sawant, Arshi Khan, Rashmi Desai, Ridhima Pandit, Riya Rathod, Sanjeeda, Shraddha Aarya, Shriti Jha, Shubangi Atre, Surbhi Chandna, Surbhi Jyoti and more.
While many wowed us with their fashion choices, there were some that perhaps failed to impress us with their sartorial picks. Let's take a look at some of the female celebs that could have done better with their red carpet appearance:
Divyanka Tripathi
Television's quintessential bahu, Divyanka opted for her staple Ball-gown look at the red carpet again. Walking in a ruffled cold shoulder & embroidered tulle gown by Kalki Fashion, her makeup and hairdo doubled up the entire look. She wore dewy makeup in hues of pink and tied her hair in an oversized bun. Ethereal earrings completed her look. Well, we hope Divyanka moves away from her usual fairy-tale ensembles and experiments a little with her look. PLEASE!
Debina made an appearance at the Gold Awards red carpet in a white and golden Hubsch gown. The actress went for poker straight hair and we love the round earrings from Health Sanghvi Shah. The dark lips contrasted well with the dress but we don't like the over-detailing on her outfit since it takes away its beauty. A tacky copy, ehh?
Nia Sharma
The Jamai Raja actress wore a white cleavage-revealing naked dress by Shaahid Amir Ankolkar and she unapologetically flaunted her curves. The outfit had a sheer, complete see-through skirt and sparkly-beaded long sleeves. While we like the neckline, the outfit was too overboard, more like a Hollywood red carpet rip-off. Pairing her outfit with bright pink sandals, she perhaps went too bold with her makeup and hairstyle too. The look certainly did not work for us. It breaks our heart to say Nia didn't make the cut for the best dressed list, considering her bold fashion choices are often loved than shrugged off!
Arshi Khan
Arshi, who rose to fame with Big Boss 11, arrived at the red carpet wearing a beige gown from FlyRobe. Styled by Saumya Snehi, the sleeveless outfit with cutouts and ruffle details was paired with jewelry from Aquamarine. With loose tresses, Arshi opted for a loud makeup with bold red lips. The outfit and the makeup was a mismatch and we wish she would have opted for something more classy. Oh, the midriff bare was an eyesore.
Shraddha Arya
Shraddha, who won the Gold Award for Best Actress in the popular category, opted for a ivory and gold sleeveless gown by Nikhita Tandon. Styled by Neha Adhvik Mahajan, the tulle gown featured heavy embroidery with panel details. Her look was paired with earrings and choker from Khurana Jewellery House. However, the look did no magic fo her and we can't make our mind if it was an Indian outfit or gown!
