Sabyasachis Favorite Muse Deepika Features In The Ace Designer’s New Wallpaper Campaign

If there is one designer-muse duo who we’ve been rooting for all through 2017, and back again in 2018, are Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Deepika Padukone. While one breathes life through his spectacular and artistic work on his garments, the other spins her beautiful magic. It’s no secret that Deepika Padukone is Mr. Mukerji’s favorite new muse. No wonder, when this ace designer tags his favorite muse along on his brand new collaboration, we aren’t surprised.

Sabyasachi, the style connoisseur, who’s designs are no less than a piece of artwork, is once again seen collaborating with Nilaya, by Asian Paints. The range of wallpapers titled Guldasta is inspired by the style beacon’s life spent in Calcutta, while growing up.

The man with many hats has earlier collaborated with several renowned names; from Christian Louboutin for a global footwear range to The Pottery Barn for vintage-inspired home décor, this creative genius has done it all.

The ace designer is seen recreating history, while drawing inspiration from his immediate surroundings. The collection is also seen paying homage to the ladies back in the late 70’s and 80’s, and the fashion prevalent amongst the Bong ladies, back then. Now who better to do justice to that royal and golden era of fashion, than Deepika Padukone! And by the looks of it, Bollywood’s dream girl has done nothing but justice to the entire campaign.

From the Royal Bengal Tiger, which this style guru spotted as a kid in a zoo, which is very dominant in all his designs, to the home he grew up in, Sabysachi translates his love for motifs and all-things-florals into this hand printed art. And to top it all, B-towns beautiful damsel – Deepika Padukone is seen at the forefront of it all.

Miss Padukone is seen draped in breathtaking and beautiful sarees, as she exudes a whole lot of elegance, panache and charm, against the beautiful backdrops. If you ever had your doubts if this designer-muse duo made for a fabulous team, then let these picture perfect frames do all the talking!
