Cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sindhu who is currently a part of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show is mostly being replaced by Archana Puran Singh. The actress has already shot for two episodes with Kapil. When PeepingMoon.com asked her about the same she exclusively shared, "I haven't really replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu, I've just for two episodes for the show as Sidhu Ji was either ill or busy with his political party work".
When we prodded her further if she would like to replace Sidhu given an opportunity, Archana added, "I will decide what to do when I am given that opportunity".

Reportedly, the makers of the show have asked the Congress leader to leave the show following his comments on the Pulwama terror attack - "Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act. For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? The attack is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."
For the unversed, Sidhu had courted controversy earlier for visiting Pakistan for PM Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony and his controversial hug with Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Soon after his statement, the internet was flooded with rage and anger towards Sidhu for his insensitive comment. Twitterati made #BoycottKapilSharmaShow trend on Twitter the entire day. Some even asked him to apologize while others demanded the channel to expel him from the comedy show.
On the other hand, Archana who was last seen as a judge of Comedy Circus on the same channel will be replacing cricketer turned politician in The Kapil Sharma Show, but for how long, time will tell.
