It’s a mutual decision: Kiran Karmarkar on separation from wife Rinku

2017 seems to be the year of breakups and separation for the TV couples. After Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff, Star Plus’ blockbuster show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki fame Om aka Kiran Karmarkar has separated from his wife of 16 years, TV actress Rinku Dhawan. Rumours of the couple staying separately are doing rounds for a while. When Peeping Moon.com contacted Kiran, he EXCLUSIVELY admitted to the rumours being true. “Yes, we are not staying together for almost a year now. It was a mutual decision. However, our son is our priority and so we do not want to take any decision which will affect him. Divorce has not happened yet, but yes, there were some differences between us and so we decided to not stay together.”

Kiran requested to not comment any further on the standing issue and stated, “Apart from this, I do not want to speak anything more about my relationship.”

It is being said that after 15 years of wedlock, the couple decided to separate as they believed it is better than living in constant acrimony. The decision happens to be an amicable, with no bitterness.

For the uninitiated, Kiran and Rinku met on the sets of KGGK and soon their friendship turned into love. Interestingly, Rinku essayed the role of Kiran's sister in Ekta Kapoor’s iconic show, way back in 2000.  The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2001 and is blessed with a son.

Both Kiran and Rinku were last seen in Dhhai Kilo Prem and Yeh Vaada Raha respectively. Kiran is also an active face in Marathi cinema and theatre.

Others couple who have headed for spiltsiville for the moment are Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Season 2 fame Avinash Sachdev-Shalmalee Desai and Piyush Sahdev Akangsha Rawat.

We hope these estranged couples are able to resolve back their differences soon.
