Ali Asgar shocked on TDC going off air; wishes Sunil Grover luck for his new show

Sony TV's The Drama Company that kick-started just two months ago, seems to have bitten the dust already. Yes, you heard it right. The show is soon to go off air in a few weeks from now.
And what's more? TDC will be replaced by none other than Sunil Grover's new show.
Ali Asgar, who plays a vital part in TDC, was shocked to learn of the same. "Yeh Kab Hua? I am completely unaware of this development. I have been probably really busy with my other work commitments. But I guess its not going off air, its just that the we were given a slot of 26 episodes and now are nearing. Now that you are informing me about the show wrapping up, it looks like the channel and the production house have decided to end this season for now. "
He further said, "It wasn't that the show was doing bad or is being pulled off air because of TRP ratings. We were not doing bad in terms of the number game. We did garner decent ratings and I am quite sure that the decision of TDC getting over has nothing to do with the TRPs. Anyway, I don't understand much about the number game."
When further informed about Sunil Grover's new show replacing The Drama Company, Ali sounded really happy.
"It's great news if Sunil is truly coming back with a TV show. I wish him all the luck."
A reliable source also confirmed the news to us. "Yes, the TDC is going off air and will be replaced by Sunil Grover's new show but there's no sureshot confirmation."
The Drama Company started on 16th July. The show despite several attempts, failed to meet up to audience's expectations. The show was produced by The Kapil Sharma Show's ex creative director Preeti Simoes. It starred Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lahiri along with  Sanket Bhonsle, Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra, Ridhima Pandit and others. Legendary actor Mithun Chakravarthy was roped in to add more fun factor to the laughter show as a super judge and spectator.
Meanwhile,  it is said that Sunil Grover's show that is based on the lines of Pink Panther, is a comic show. Preeti Simoes will be responsible for the conceptualizing of this show as well.
