PeepingMoon Exclusive: 'I left TV to attract different things, couldn't do repetitive stuff,' says Karishma Tanna

Karishma Tanna is among those few actresses who went on to explore different mediums and left behind an indelible impact. After starting her career with television, she experimented with the medium of cinema and impressed all. Now, she is gradually conquering the OTT space too. Karishma, who will be seen in Hansal Mehta's Netflix project Scoop, spoke to PeepingMoon exclusively about switching from TV to films and then web.

Talking to us, the actress opened up about quitting television to experience different mediums and try a variety of roles. She said, "I am getting good projects but with a price. I left television not because somebody told me to do so in order to get films and web projects. It was my choice because I wanted to do something more. I did similar things in the past and couldn't repeat the same thing. It stops me from acting and I believe you gain more experience with time. I willingly took a sabbatical from TV to attract different things. When I didn't do TV, I got projects like Hush Hush, Guilty Minds, etc. That's how people start seeing you in a different light. I manifested that."

Karishma made her television debut with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She played the lead role in Grand Masti (2013) and her first web show was Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat (2018).
