PeepingMoon Exclusive: It's Salman Khan's film, no problem if we get overshadowed by his presence- Raghav Juyal on Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan being an ensemble film

Raghav Juyal is on cloud nine and why not? His big-ticket family entertainer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is all set to hit the silver screen tomorrow (April 21). Ahead of its release, the dancer-turned-actor spoke to PeepingMoon.com exclusively about the film and working with Salman Khan.

Talking to us, Raghav also opened up about his desire to shed the image of a dancer and be known as a versatile actor with his upcoming projects. He further revealed some unknown facts about Salman!

Excerpts from the interview:

Do you remember your first day on the set of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan?

The first day on the set was pretty regular with all of us working diligently. When Salman sir was giving his shot, I didn't even understand what was happening because I found it difficult to process that I am his co-star. He called me to his farmhouse in Panvel for script narration and that was a huge deal for me.

Which was the icebreaking moment between you and Salman Khan?

There wasn't any icebreaking moment because Salman sir had worked with me in the past. That's when he noticed me and considered for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. After our shoot, we would all sit together and enjoy meals with Salman sir.

What were the unknown facts you learnt about Salman Khan while working with him?

Salman sir is a rough and tough person who prefers to lead a simple life. He is a superstar and has access to every possible luxury but he still chose to bear the scorching heat in Hyderabad without an umbrella. Whenever he's at his farmhouse, he's walking around without footwear. He's very grounded and simple.

Who's that co-star with whom you bonded the most?

I found a younger brother in Siddharth Nigam and got the chance to learn a lot from that talented boy.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is an ensemble film. Do you fear being overshadowed by too many people?

Not at all. Everyone has an equal chance to shine as we're individuals. Also, it is Salman Khan's film, overshadow honge toh kya? His presence and aura are so impactful that you cannot stop being in awe of him.

Your first film came in 2014. How did the switch from dancing to acting look like?

Sonali Cable was my first film and I auditioned for it. After that, I have done dance-based films only. Around 5 years ago, I started training in acting and took this profession seriously. During my course, I gave auditions and cracked films like Yudhra and Guneet Monga's next. To focus on my craft, I took a break for 3 years. I have decided to not do comedy any more as I want to avoid being stereotyped.

Do you wish to establish yourself as a versatile actor by shedding the image of a dancer?

Definitely and this will happen soon. I cannot say much because until the films release, I won't be able to prove myself. I'm sure people will accept me as an actor.
