How has the New Year been treating you?

The New Year has started on a very good note. I have just finished the big film called The Archies directed by Zoya Akhtar. This was in December and I am hoping there are going to be a line of different and wonderful roles coming by my way this year. The year definitely started on a very high note. I have  made health priority and had gone off to wellness centre and been trying to detox physically and mentally so I feel that I am giving myself this one year to completely rejuvenate and bring new Delnaaz in terms of, it could be looks, my mind set, could be the role that I want to do. I just wanted to rejuvenate and that's how I started this year.

Last year ended on a good note for you with a good film, this year do we see more films happening for you?

Last year definitely ended with a good note with a good film. Yes, definitely, I am going to focus on doing more work as in films and on OTT.

Is OTT something you would be keen to explore?

Definitely, why not? I am an actor I have been saying that the platform is not really important whether it's theatre, serials, OTT, films it's not important. I am an actor, acting is my passion and the platform is really not important. I want to explore, I want to do great roles I want to be out there and show my talent to the people and that what it is.

Your equation with your partner is special and we love the reels you put up but if you could change one aspect of your relationship what would it be?

I think nobody is perfect you know there are positives and negatives in every person and definitely we are not perfect at all but as we come as a couple, we feel there is nothing we need to change. I know people love our reels, love the way we present ourselves and that's what we are. I think the one thing the people love about us is we are real people. I don't have any pretence nor does Percy and what we are, we are, you know we are really love each other a lot and that comes across on screen as well. I think there is nothing I would like to change in my relationship with Percy or I am sure he does not want to change anything as far as we both are concerned like they say two people are different but they come together as a team we are just perfect and I just love the way we enjoy doing reels and entertaining people together. Initially of course Percy was little skeptical but now he just got the hangs of it and I am sure he loves it.

If not an actor what would you have been?

I would definitely be a teacher today if I was not an actor. I have a proper degree as far as teaching goes I am an MA and BEd so even today if I want to teach in a school or a college I can easily do it.

Recently with Tunisha’s case and many others do you think working in the industry at such a young age puts a lot of pressure on you and affects you mentally?

Of course I don't want to particularly talk about the case but I definitely feel that yes, when you come here at a very young age there is a lot of pressure there is a lot of competition and there are a lot of people out there to just pull you down so there is a lot hard work, there is a lot of frustration, there is a lot of mental instability in terms of you’re always looking at what the future holds for you. You are not calm at all and talking about our times in 90's there was only that much, there were lesser people, TV industry was a smaller place and everybody was happy, everybody have got their own space everybody their own kind of work but here there is so much competition today that you know people just want to nudge each other like be one up and there is too much striving and too much hard work so I think for a person that young it gets definitely very difficult. I feel there has to be a lot of family support a lot of good friends and people around you to support you when you definitely need them that is very important and of course a very strong family support you definitely need when you come at a very young age in to this industry.
