PeepingMoon Exclusive: Kiara Advani to romance Mumbai Diaries actor Mohit Raina in Vijay Lalwani's film

Peepingmoon.com exclusively informed its readers last month that Kiara Advani is now going solo and has signed Karthik Calling Karthik director Vijay Lalwani’s next film. We also revealed that the film is a heist thriller and has tentatively been titled "Lamb." And now, the director has begun the preparation and has even locked in the male lead for the film. Peepingmoon.com has learned that Mohit Raina has been finalised opposite Kiara in this thrilling drama, set to begin in the first half of 2023.

"Vijay Lalwani has roped in Mohit Raina to play the lead role alongside Kiara Advani in his next film. It’s a thriller-drama centred around Kiara’s character, and Raina will play an equally strong role that is extremely crucial to the plot of the film. Both the actors are signed, and they will begin shooting in around April next year," an industry source told us, adding that the film has been planned for a direct-to-OTT release. The project, as we revealed earlier, will see the Kabir Singh actress playing a role she hasn’t attempted before. Niraj Kothari and Sarita Tanwar are producing this film under their banner, 11:11 Productions.

The Kiara Advani film is the latest addition to Mohit Raina’s exciting lineup for 2023. Widely known for his television show, "Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev", the 40-year-old actor will soon return with the second season of his highly acclaimed Amazon Prime series, Mumbai Diaries 26/11. The Nikkhil Advani-created medical drama series’ new season is finished and will come out around February 2023. Raina will then be seen along with Lara Dutta, Neena Gupta, and Shriya Pilgaonkar in Avishek Ghosh’s Ishq-e-Nadaan. The AVMA Media production is a heart-warming romantic drama set in a crowded metropolis that traces the journeys of its protagonists through companionship and unconditional love.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is presently awaiting the release of Shashank Khaitan’s Govinda Naam Mera, which premieres on Disney+Hotstar this Friday. The comedy drama co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar is Kiara's third release of the year, following Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Next in line-up for the actress is S. Shankar’s Pan-India film with Ram Charan and Sameer Vidwans’ musical romance, Satyaprem Ki Katha, with Kartik Aaryan. The Shershaah actress is also in talks for two more new films, but she hasn’t signed them yet.
