PeepingMoon Exclusive: Tiger Shroff in Shashank Khaitan’s romantic-actioner; ‘Bedhadak’ director getting into back-to-back films

Tiger Shroff is as indefatigable in life as on screen. PeepingMoon.com has reliably learned that the action and dance superstar has put Heropanti 2 behind him and is now gearing up to do an exciting film with Shashank Khaitan. It’s an out-and-out romantic-actioner which is the genre Tiger excels at. The production house for this Khaitan directorial right now is unknown. According to the Bollywood grapevine, it could be Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions which made Student Of The Year 2 in 2019 with Tiger. Or it could be another studio. Watch this space for further updates on this adventurous film.

Meanwhile, with this Khaitan will be directing back-to-back films. He’s already doing Dharma’s love triangle Bedhadak in which KJo, who has launched more new talent in Bollywood than any other filmmaker, will proudly be introducing Shanaya Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani with Gurfateh Pirzada of Guilty from Netflix fame. Bedhadak will be Khaitan’s umpteenth film for Dharma. He’s done Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Dhadak, Good Newwz, Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship and Ajeeb Dastaans. There’s also the comedy-thriller Govinda Naam Mera with Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar that is being readied for release.

The Tiger-Khaitan film which may or may not be from Dharma’s banner is a commercial action entertainer that’s yet untitled. Khaitan has already started prepping his AD team and is planning to take the film on floors in September. Tiger will dive into this actioner after finishing the remaining portions of Vikas Bahl’s two-part global thriller, Ganapath, which is only a couple of days away from completion. He will reportedly sport a new look and romance a top young actress in Khaitan’s mainstream entertainer.

Tiger has also signed Attack director Lakshya Raj Anand’s next action thriller for Vashu Bhagnani’s banner. As we revealed last week, the film is set in London and will begin production near the end of the year, after Tiger has completed the Khaitan film. His recently announced action-comedy Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, which pairs him up with Akshay Kumar for the first time, has been delayed to the first quarter of 2023 due to budget issues. Contrary to rumours, Tiger’s long-in-the-making Ramboremake also doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.
