PeepingMoon Exclusive: Esha Gupta to play Bobby Deol's image-maker in Prakash Jha's Aashram season 2!

Bobby Deol is returning as Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala once again. Peepingmoon.com has learned that Bobby's highly-appreciated web series Aashram's second season is set to go on floors next month. After the two successful chapters of the Prakash Jha crime-drama series which premiered in August and November 2020 respectively, the streaming platform MX Player is upping the scale for its next season. The sophomore edition of the show will be a continuation of the same storyline centered on a self-proclaimed Godman, who wields power superior to the executive and the administrative.

We have also learned that Jannat 2 actress Esha Gupta has joined the cast of Aashram second season. The Miss India International who was last seen in Zee5's RejctX 2 last year will be playing the role of Bobby Deol's publicist who helps him build his public image as the Messiah of the lower strata of the society. Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Vikram Kochhar, and Rajeev Siddhartha among others will also return to their respective characters to tell the dark tale of Aashram for the last time. The shooting is scheduled to begin on September 10 in Jaipur after which the team will head to Bhopal where it's expected to be filmed till the first week of November.

The Aashram second season is expected to be bigger and more action-driven than the previous chapters. Pammi and other women who fell prey to Baba Nirala's traps will be seen in a revengeful mode this time and will also be exposing the other sides of Aashram. The new season was apparently first supposed to get off the ground in April, however, the schedules went for a toss due to the second COVID-19 lockdown, thus delaying the shoot by four months. The postponement of Aashram's second season has also delayed the production of Bobby's Apne 2 that sees him reuniting with his father Dharmendra, brother Sunny Deol and nephew Karan Deol. The Anil Sharma directorial is now expected to go on floors in December in the UK!
