PeepingMoon Exclusive: Taapsee Pannu and Gulshan Devaiah doing Section 375 director Ajay Bahl's next!

Taapsee Pannu is Bollywood's lady Akshay Kumar. With over six films in her kitty, the actress is booked and busy like none of her counterparts. She's been working round the clock with all the precautions and completed four films before the second wave of the coronavirus paused the film industry yet again. As her first film of this year Haseen Dillruba premieres on Netflix today, Taapsee is enjoying her pleasant, lengthy vacation in Russia. And now we heard she'll be back soon to start working on her new film.

Peepingmoon.com has learned that Taapsee Pannu will next start Zee Studios' next production that BA Pass and Section 375 fame Ajay Bahl is directing. The yet-untitled film is said to be a psychological thriller that revolves mainly around three characters. Gulshan Devaiah who has established himself as a dependable actor over the years with films like Hunterrr and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota to his credit will play one of the leads alongside Taapsee. While the details of the plot and characters are not revealed yet, we heard the film goes on floors around 20th July in Nainital. The makers have planned a month-long start-to-finish schedule to film this thrilling drama set in a dark space.

Taapsee Pannu was first supposed to start shooting for Mithali Raj biopic, Shabaash Mithu but the film has apparently been pushed by months after it went through a change in the directorship giving the actress plenty of time to work on one more project in between. The actress will now dive into the biopic only after completing Ajay Bahl's film that sees her exploring a world she hasn't attempted before. Taapsee is expected to follow Shabaash Mithu with a South film and then will head to Sidharth Roy Kapur's Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan that pairs her opposite Scam 1992 breakthrough star Pratik Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Taapsee's Rashmi Rocket is also said to be taking the OTT route amidst the uncertainty around the reopening of theatres while her Run Rola Run remake Loop Lapeta, and Anurag Kashyap directed Dobaaraa is currently in post-production. Ajay Bahl, on the other hand, has quit Red Chillies Entertainment's Freddy after its lead actor Kartik Aaryan left the film citing creative differences. He's expected to follow this Taapsee Pannu film with a big-budget drama for a major production company.
