The buzz all along has been that Akshay’s dark superhero is called Dr. Richard. Also, The Crowman because his character does resemble a ferocious crow. But PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned that the evil-looking character with feathery eyebrows, claw-like fingers, topaz eyeballs and grey brushed back hair seen in the 2.0 posters is called Pakshiraja. Which means, King of Birds. It is no coincidence that several birds are seen in the background.

Pakshiraja is created to make viewers sit up and take notice. And Akshay, who had to undergo hours of prosthetics every day to resemble the menacing character that looks a combination of man, beast and bird, described Pakshiraja as his most powerful character and one which will probably stay with him for the longest time. But who or what exactly is Pakshiraja? Akshay himself says he’s a dark superhero. While Rajnikanth said it was Akshay who was the real hero of 2.0. Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
