Exclusive: Not ‘Dholi Taro’ but Salman to groove to ‘Dholiro’ with Aayush-Warina in ‘Loveratri’

Yes, Salman Khan is going to be adding some muscle to the hustle that is his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma’s Bollywood debut film Loveratri. That was expected. After all, it’s being made under his Salman Khan Films banner. And besides Aayush, who is sister Arpita’s husband, Loveratri introduces newbie Warina Hussain. So, the Bhaijaan considerable presence in this venture is bound to tilt things in Loveratri’s favour at the box office. For the same reason, even the mighty Deols have got Salman to make a guest appearance in their Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 that releases on August 31.

But what’s Salman going to be doing in Loveratri?

PeepingMoon.com has learned that the actor is going to be part of a song in the Abhiraj Minawala directed film. But it’s not going to be his popular song Dholi Taro from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 1999 romantic drama Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam featuring Aishwarya Rai (Bachchan) and Ajay Devgn with Salman. Since Loveratri has a Gujarati flavour, it was believed Salman would be asked to recreate this number. But it seems the actor wants an original number. So the song’s going to be called Dholiro and will be sung by Udit Narayan who has crooned several hits for Salman. It will have a distinct Gujarati flavour in keeping with the film’s theme.

Meanwhile, the film’s teaser introduced Loveratri as a quintessential love story with all the necessary ingredients of a Bollywood romance. The sparks fly between Aayush and Warina who meet while dancing during the nine-day Gujarati festival Navratri. There is typical Gujarati music with the irresistible dandiya beats, lights, laughter and heady dancing that are the hallmark of the festival. Shooting of Loveratri will be completed this month and the film is being prepared for release in October around the Navratri festival.
