EXCLUSIVE:Akshay Kumar promotes toilet cleaning brand to encourage sanitary habits among people

The news is trending right now and top of people’s imaginations. Social media is speculating wildly about what it might be. Akshay Kumar, who is on vacation with his family somewhere in the Caribbean islands, has just announced on Instagram that he’s coming with another blockbuster – Mission # Toilet 2.

“Iss baar badlega poora desh!” says the Bollywood superstar who in his box office hit Toilet: Ek Prem Katha last year created nationwide awareness about open defecation and the need for sanitation in rural areas. Is he secretly ready with the film’s sequel? Was Akshay quietly shooting for Mission # Toilet 2 alongside Gold and Kesari?

No, he was not. And PeepingMoon.com has discovered what the actor meant when he posted the video on Instagram this afternoon telling fans,“Toilet toh bana liya. Lekin katha abhi baki hain. Main aah raha hoon leke Toilet 2!” He wasn’t releasing a teaser for any sequel to his highest-grossing film and the first to enter the exclusive Rs. 300 crore club.

Taking his mission to keep spreading awareness about the need for sanitation and eradication of open defecation beyond his satirical comedy, Akshay has stepped up to the podium as the ambassador of the world’s leading brand name for toilet cleaning products.

Yes, he is marketing Harpic – the renowned toilet bowl cleaner launched in England in the 1920s and marketed in India by Reckitt Benckiser. And what he teasingly put up on Instagram today to send social media into a tizzy was a teaser for his first Harpic commercial!

The actor is single-mindedly determined and unrelenting in his mission to keep promoting the need for sanitation in the country. In May this year, he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission with this idea in mind. And now by accepting a private sector invitation to endorse a leading toilet cleaner brand, Akshay is telling India that “toilet isn’t a dirty word”.
