Is Luv Ranjan waiting to see Dhadak before casting Janhvi Kapoor?

Pyar Ka Panchnama and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety director Luv Ranjan, who got Bollywood excited with the pairing of Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor for his next untitled film, is apparently thinking of casting Janhvi Kapoor in it. This hot bit of information PeepingMoon.com brings you hard on the heels of the buzz created last week by Shraddha Kapoor who reportedly pitched for the film too.

Luv Ranjan has indicated that his Ajay-Ranbir film will have two heroines and Shraddha was so keen on being part of the project, that she visited Ajay’s office and told the actor-producer that she was available for this film. Shraddha has Batti Gul Meter Chalu on hand that got suck over payment problems allegedly created by former producer KriArj Entertainment. Shooting resumed after KriArj was removed and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series took over the film. Shraddha promised dates to Luv Ranjan and now it is to be seen whether the director signs her on.

Luv Ranjan, who is excited to be working with the two powerhouse actors Ajay and Ranbir, said his untitled film will only go on the floors next year. He said both actors found the script amazing and were happy to be working together again after Rajneeti in 2010. With Ajay and Ranbir in already, Bollywood trade sources are eager to see which two heroines Luv Ranjan signs for the film. Rumours are that his Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actress Nushrat Bharucha will be part of this film. And possibly Shraddha or Janhvi.

It may be that Luv Ranjan is waiting to watch Janhvi’s performance in her major Bollywood debut Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. The romantic drama, produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios and directed by Shashank Khaitan, is slated for release on July 20 and all of Bollywood is waiting to see how Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter fares. Sources who watched the climax being wrapped up say that the debutante gave such a soul-stirring performance, there was not a dry eye among the cast and crew of the sets of Dhadak.
