Which is why, it makes sense for the actor playing Mughal ruler Allaudin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmavati to go to the Bigg Boss 11 House where Salman is King. And that, Peeping Moon.com sources say, is happening soon. As soon as the first week of November, in fact.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always been beholden to Salman. And if he could kick start the promotions of Padmavati with the Bhaijaan’s blessings, the filmmaker would do that. So it is on the cards that the cast of the most anticipated film of 2017 enters the Bigg Boss House soon to whet audiences’ appetites for Bhansali’s film. When he made Bajirao Mastani in 2015, Bhansali sets standards for himself that can only be surpassed by another period drama like Padmavati. Carrying the baton for him first will be Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor who play Rani Padmini and Maharana Rawal Ratan Singh in the film. Ranveer will follow as a solo date with Salman.

According to sources, Deepika and Shahid will enter the House on Saturday, October 28. The Big Boss 11 episode featuring the Padmavati jodi will be aired on Sunday, October 29. Will Bhansali use the large platform provided by Colors and Salman’s magnetic appeal to launch Ghoomar – the first song from Padmavati? He might, if he does not release it digitally before that! The filmmaker intended to release Ghoomar during Diwali and start Padmavati’s promotions with that. After all, the film is slated for a December 1 release. And he has just over a month to take Padmavati to the masses.

But for some reason this plan was canned. There’s an ominous silence on Ghoomar right now. Which could mean the Padmavati crew is working feverishly to present it on Bigg Boss 11 this weekend. One of the most entertaining segments of the reality show is the ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ in which Salman enthralls the audience by performing with whichever star is visiting the House. This is as good a platform as any to introduce Ghoomar and the cast of Padmavati to Bollywood audiences countrywide. Most filmmakers wait for an opportunity to take their forthcoming releases onto Bigg Boss because of the show’s amazing TRPs. Bhansali plans to do it twice. And people can’t wait to see Ranveer Singh and Salman Khan together. That should bring the House down!
