Talking to PeepingMoon.com from the trouble zone, Joginder said, “We are currently stuck at the most popular strip of Vegas and the shooting happened just two blocks away. A shooter attacked people in the middle of the concert. The police have locked down the entire street and have sent people into different places like malls, hotels, etc. for their safety. Thankfully, there has been no confusion because the police are doing their job very effectively. We still do not know whether we can go out on the streets or not. Choppers have arrived. Police officials have sealed the area. We are waiting for instructions and have been asked to stay put at the moment wherever we are. We want to get back to our hotel. The entire street is deserted at the moment.”

The police closed off about a mile of Las Vegas Boulevard and asked the public to steer clear of the area. Reportedly, some flights scheduled from McCarran Airport in Las Vegas were diverted because of police activity as there was news of people fleeing the concert by running onto an airport runway. Many people with gunshot wounds were rushed to a nearby hospital and at least 14 were reported critical.
