PeepingMoon Exclusive: Tiger Shroff to star in Vikas Bahl's martial arts film?

Tiger Shroff is spending his lockdown time reading tons of scripts. The young superstar who was last seen in Ahmed Khan's Baaghi 3 already had many film offers and several filmmakers are believed to have approached him even during the lockdown. Now, Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Tiger is on the verge of signing an action film by Vikas Bahl who last directed his mentor Hrithik Roshan in the superhit Super 30 last year.

An industry source close to the development has informed us that Tiger has given his nod to Bahl's film and will sign on the dotted line after reading the final draft. The yet-untitled film is said to be set in the backdrop of martial arts and will be largely shot in the UK. Producer Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment is backing the project that marks Bahl's first stint in the action genre after directing comedy-dramas like Chillar Party and Queen.

The project is expected to be mounted on a huge scale and, needless to mention that it will have some never-seen-before action set pieces like his all other movies. Vashu Bhagnani and Vikas Bahl apparently approached Tiger even before the pandemic took place and they are said to have remained in touch over video calls since then to discuss the developments. Sources say Tiger is committed to the project and will shoot for it after completing Ahmed Khan's Heropanti 2. The Sajid Nadiadwala production will have a new characterisation for Tiger from his debut film and will go on floors early next year.

Vikas Bahl who was accused of sexual harassment during the #MeToo wave last year is reportedly also doing a comedy-drama for Ekta Kapoor's banner. Kriti Sanon is in talks to play the lead alongside Amitabh Bachchan after Katrina Kaif backed out of early this year. The filmmaker is expected to complete this film before he dives into the preparation for Tiger's action-packed biggie!
