The Mumbai Police will be handing over the mortal remains of actor Sushant Singh Rajput who committed suicide yesterday to his brother-in-law Om Prakash Singh who is a Haryana IPS officer of Additional Director General of Police rank. Mr. O. P. Singh, who is married to Sushant’s elder sister Ritu, flew down from Chandigarh last night. He is posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The Mumbai Police reportedly gave the family two options for cremation: at Bandra and Vile-Parle. The family is believed to have chosen the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile-Parle. Mr. O. P. Singh has signed all the necessary papers permitting the Mumbai Police to handover the body to him. This will be done as per protocol after necessary attestation of documents etc.
