Ronit Bose Roy has made his mark in television and films and is currently ruling the webspace with some great roles and content. His last outing was Hostages on Hotstar and currently, he is seen in Zee 5's web film titled Line of Descent. His stint in the web world hasn’t ended as Ronit’s upcoming web shows are too good to give a miss.
In an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon, Ronit Bose Roy spoke at length about his role, the choices he makes in choosing scripts and the key to ace in all the three mediums. On his role in Line of Descent, Ronit said, “Firstly I am glad to be part of the web-film. I play a brother who does wrong things but soon, he realizes his mistakes. My character sweeps deep into various shades as the screenplay moves ahead. The subject isn’t just action drama but also touches upon human emotions.”
When asked if web shows in India have superseded Hollywood shows, Ronit added, "We have grown a lot and are still growing. There are so many platforms and so many shows of different genres like action, drama, romance, and comedy. We have a bag full of content. We are doing way better.”
Lastly, when quizzed how does he manage to rule the web and balance Bollywood as well, he said, "I am glad people say I am ruling, I feel I am doing my job, I like the script and I take it up, irrespective of any medium. I’m too occupied with films and web shows. If something good comes on television, will see.”
Ronit will be seen in Kehne ko Humsafar Hai season 3 and Hostages 2.
