Kuku TV has taken its microdrama shoots to international locations, filming its microdramas ‘Love Beneath Paris Skies’ in Paris, France and ‘Found Real Love in Spain’ in Barcelona, Spain. Kuku TV has also previously shot a show ‘The Ultimate Boss’ in Dubai. These shoots bring global visual elements into live-action microdramas, allowing Kuku TV to best serve the demands of each plot and deliver an uncompromising viewing experience to audiences.
The international shoots mark a significant moment for Indian microdramas, demonstrating the scale and soft power the format is beginning to command. For years, international locations were more commonly associated with movies and OTT series. Kuku TV's international shoots bring that production ambition to microdramas, reflecting the format's growing presence as mainstream entertainment.
Found Real Love in Spain follows Avni, a woman caught in a difficult marriage who finds an unexpected ally in Rishab, the CEO of a transportation company in Barcelona. As Rishab helps her navigate her circumstances, the two gradually discover a deeper connection, with Barcelona providing the backdrop for their journey. The microdrama stars Anuj Singh Sachdev, an Indian actor and model known for his work across television, film and digital entertainment, alongside Navina Bole, the popular Indian television actress and model. The shoot captures locations including Port Vell, the Tibidabo area, Barcelona's streets and beachside settings.
Love Beneath Paris Skies follows Suhana, a wealthy heiress and CEO, whose life takes an unexpected turn after a chance encounter with Adi, a cab driver in Paris. Their clashes gradually give way to an emotional connection as they navigate family conflict, danger and unexpected circumstances together. The microdrama features Anuj Singh Sachdev alongside Sushmita Singh, actress, model, and Miss India United Continents 2022 titleholder. The shoot takes audiences through the Eiffel Tower, Parisian streets, a street market, a local café and a boutique hotel.
The shoots brought together Indian creative and production teams with global talent, including French and Spanish talent and crew working alongside the teams.
