Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Udta Teer has dropped its trailer, and it brings back the actor in a quirky, high-energy avatar that instantly reminds audiences of his comic best. Known for choosing unconventional characters and finding humour in unusual situations, Ayushmann once again appears to be stepping into a world built around chaos, confusion and comedy.

From Dream Girl and Bala to Badhaai Ho and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann has consistently explored different shades of comedy while making his characters memorable. Udta Teer seems to continue that streak, giving him another unusual character to play with.

Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film follows Ayushmann’s Bilal Ahmad, who loses his memory after an accident and begins believing that he is Indian. What follows is a series of bizarre and comic situations as his new identity leads him into circumstances he never expected.

The trailer stands out for its ability to keep the patriotic backdrop light, quirky and entertaining. Rather than presenting a conventional serious narrative, Udta Teer appears to use situational comedy and Bilal’s confusion to create its humour.
