Tips Music responds to Pooja Entertainment lawsuit, Calls allegations “Malicious”

Amidst the ongoing debate surrounding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) within the entertainment industry, Tips Music Limited has now issued its official statement. This statement comes at a time when discussions are intensifying regarding a lawsuit filed by Pooja Entertainment (India) Ltd.

In its statement, Tips Music acknowledged that it has received information regarding the lawsuit filed by Pooja Entertainment in the court of the Civil Judge (Senior Division) in Katihar, Bihar. However, the company clarified that it is yet to receive a formal copy of the court's order.

Presenting its stance, the company asserted that it legally holds ownership over the music rights at the center of this dispute. According to Tips, these rights are vested with them based on valid and binding agreements executed between the two parties. The company further claimed that for nearly three decades, it has been exercising these rights in a completely lawful manner, adhering to all applicable laws throughout this period.

In its statement, Tips Music categorically rejected the allegations leveled by Pooja Entertainment. The company stated that the claims made appear to be "malicious, misleading, and motivated by an intent to tarnish the company's reputation." Furthermore, the company made it clear that it would vigorously defend its position in court and take all necessary legal measures to safeguard its interests and rights.

It is noteworthy that producer Vashu Bhagnani recently spoke out openly regarding this dispute concerning music and film rights. Now, following this statement from Tips Music, the matter has garnered even greater attention. The industry's focus is now fixed on the court's next hearing and the final verdict.
