Sholay’s chartbuster ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ gets a fresh remix in Kuku’s Indian Institute of Zombies

The chartbuster Mehbooba Mehbooba from Sholay is all set to make a stylish comeback in Kuku’s upcoming horror comedy Indian Institute of Zombies. The evergreen hit has been reinvented into a high energy hip hop mix by music producer, remix artist and DJ Farooq Got Audio for the film.

The revamped track serves as the grand introduction to Anupriya Goenka’s character, a stunning, fearless and compassionate professor who becomes the students’ guiding force as they take on a zombie outbreak threatening their campus and city. Think Professor McGonagall meets Chandni from Main Hoon Na, with enough charm to leave every student on campus smitten.

Sharing his thoughts on the track, *Kunj Sanghvi, producer and Senior Vice President, Kuku,* says, “Mehbooba Mehbooba is one of those timeless songs that generations have grown up with, so we wanted the recreated version to feel nostalgic yet completely fresh for today’s audience. Farooq Got Audio has done a fantastic job of bringing a new age sound and energy to the track while still preserving the essence and recall value of the original. The remix perfectly complements the wild, fun and chaotic world of Indian Institute of Zombies.”
