Even amidst the hustle and bustle of the festival season and strong films like Kantara: Chapter 1, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has held its own remarkably well. Earning 90 lakh on Monday, followed by 55 lakh on Tuesday, 60 lakh on Wednesday, and 48 lakh on Thursday, shows the film's continued strength in its fourth week.
As a family entertainer, with the increased screen count, the film is now inching closer to the 70 crore (NBOC) mark and has also crossed the 100 crore (GBOC Worldwide) mark, demonstrating its strong audience connection.
Analysts are reporting that despite not much fanfare at the opening, the film consistently delivered strong numbers even on low-earning days. After declining in the second and third weeks, such a surge in the fourth week is rare.
This could be due to: a simple, entertaining story aimed at families, the trend of family viewing during the festive holidays, and the expansion of screens that brought even lower-tier audiences to this film. Conversely, the audiences attracted by competing films didn't hinder it. Overall, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari proves that a film of the right genre, at the right time, and with an interesting story, can do well despite selective pressures.
