S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic Clocks a Massive 3-Hour-40-Minute Runtime, Shorter Than Pushpa 2: Reloaded!

S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus franchise Baahubali has been one of the landmark films that changed the course of Indian cinema. Both parts, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, redefined filmmaking in India and brought Indian cinema to global dominance. The films performed phenomenally at the worldwide box office, setting new benchmarks and winning immense love from audiences across generations. Now, to celebrate this legacy, the makers are uniting both chapters as Baahubali: The Epic, a re-edited and remastered presentation of the timeless saga, releasing in cinemas this month.

As the release date inches closer, it has been reported that the epic’s runtime, which combines both films, will be around 3 hours and 40 minutes. Interestingly, this runtime is even shorter than that of Pushpa: The Rule – Reloaded version. This is a phenomenal feat, merging two grand narratives into one seamless cinematic experience while maintaining a gripping pace. With this reimagined presentation, fans can relive the grandeur, emotions, and visual spectacle that made Baahubali a historic milestone in Indian cinema.

Baahubali: The Epic is described as a single-film version of the Baahubali story, combining footage from both films with new technical enhancements, restored or previously unseen scenes, and selective alterations. The excitement around the film is at its peak, as audiences prepare to witness the magic of two mega blockbusters in one. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 31 October 2025 in multiple premium formats, including IMAX, 4DX, D-Box, Dolby Cinema, and EPIQ. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.
