He says something at night, Something else in the day: Vivek Agnihotri hits back at Anurag Kashyap

The verbal war going on between producer-director Vivek Agnihotri and Anurag Kashyap is not stopping. A few days ago, Anurag Kashyap called Vivek Agnihotri a 'liar', after which Vivek has also reacted to this statement.

In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Vivek Agnihotri said, "Anurag Kashyap is a wonderful person and his contribution to Indian cinema is unmatched. But his alcohol addiction harmed his films. There is a difference in what he says at night and in the morning. I had mentioned his drinking habit and it is true, but I never said that he is a bad person." Vivek further said, "There are 2-3 people inside Anurag. When the history of Indian cinema will be written, his name will definitely be taken. There is only one such filmmaker."

The root of the dispute between the two is related to the film 'Goal'. Vivek alleges that Anurag gave his work to Vikramaditya Motwane, due to which his film suffered. Vivek said, "I too have had a phase when I used to drink a lot and it affected my work. So if I say that his addiction affected the work, what is wrong in that?" Talking about the work front, Vivek Agnihotri's next film is 'The Bengal Files', which has been surrounded by controversies even before its release. At the same time, the teaser of Anurag Kashyap's next film 'Nishanchi' has been released and it will hit the theatres on September 19.
